Supervisor, Rural Services

Location:  Trinidad and Walsenburg, Colorado                                         

Qualifications:  Doctorate or master degree in social work, psychology, or closely related field and current Colorado license required.  This position requires extensive knowledge of theories, modalities, and clinical treatment, with particular emphasis on experience using short-term (90 day) treatment models such as Brief/Solution Focused Therapy.  Experience working with a multidisciplinary team.  Experience and knowledge of evidence based, outcome-verified treatment required, along with familiarity of recovery and strength-based treatment.  At least three years post graduate experience, one of which must have been working with short-term episodes of care.  Computer proficiency required.  Candidate must have computer skills and ability to use data to guide change with a team. Supervisory experience preferred.  Community mental health experience preferred.

Other:  Ability to speak Spanish is desired but not required.  A valid Colorado driver's license and access to transportation during work hours are required.  Background search required. CAC III or LAC is desired but not required. Residency in Las Animas or Huerfano County preferred.

Responsibilities: Under the administrative supervision of the chief behavioral health officer, the rural supervisor is responsible for:

  • Provide clinical supervision of all clinical staff under the direction  of this position  in accordance with Center policies and procedures;
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with other community agencies as required for patient care;
  • Manage and supervise documentation through insuring accurate and complete records, including collaborative documentation with clients, including auditing for clinical content and accurate coding of billed services;
  • Reviewing treatment plans, supervision, and consultation for clinical efficacy within two work days of submission;
  • Maintain and support compliance with Center standards;
  • Maintain and manage productivity standards for self and assigned staff reporting to this position;
  • Maintain competency and proficiency with the electronic health record (EHR), provide current information on EHR changes to team and assigned clinicians
  • Participate in administrative meetings about company changes in policy and procedures;
  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision in accordance with Center policy and procedures;
  • Provide administrative/supervisory coverage in the absence of other supervisors as assigned; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Annual salary:  $82,033, or depending on experience
