Electronic Health Records Specialist/Form Developer

  • Baccalaureate degree and at least three years of experience in the behavioral health and/or medical field are required
  • Experience working with EHR form design required
  • Current Colorado driver license and access to transportation during work hours required
  • Familiarity with the myAvatar and/or NextGen EHR software highly desirable
  • Experience with ScriptLink, JavaScript, .NET, C#, and other scripting languages desirable
  • Experience with 1:1 and small group education, and mentoring desirable

Responsibilities:  This position is a member of the Technology team and is responsible for:

  • Coordinates analysis of documentation and workflows in departments, and designs/redesigns system components to support appropriate workflows in coordination with the system standards and leadership.
  • Designing and maintaining EHR forms and associated programming for use within corporate EHR systems;
  • Working collaboratively in a team setting to design, develop, test, and continually improve EHR forms and their use in associated workflows;
  • Maintaining coding, compliance, and security standards;
  • Managing help desk tickets associated with EHR issues;
  • Managing various components of the EHR (e.g., patient portal, HIE integration);
  • Creating and maintaining user workflows for clinical processes within EHRs;
  • Utilizing EHR reports to identify and repair incorrect data entries;
  • Utilizing EHR reports to provide clinical feedback to directors and supervisors to minimize documentation errors;
  • Working in conjunction with the Chief Technology Officer on problem identification and resolution with EHR forms and software; and
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned.

Annual salary range:  $65,560-$90,650, DOE
